Social Value has become a real focus for improvement in all areas of business and Solihull Catering Services realises how valuable it is to our community. We are working with our suppliers to achieve and, in some cases, exceed their contractual obligations with regards to social value within Solihull borough.
One area that we have encouraged our suppliers to support is regarding the welfare of our children during school holidays. Last Christmas nearly 1,000 hampers were delivered to families who may have been struggling and helped make a real difference to our local community.
Mark Willford, Customer Relationship Manager, who helped pack the hampers said: “I was fortunate to experience the work that goes into this initiative, when on a cold morning in December, I found myself helping to prepare the hampers, what a fantastic effort was made by all who participated.”
